Oreo Crunch Brownies

Didnt I mention a backlog of photos?

Theres no finished product photo. Use your imagination...a brownie with Oreo pieces in it.

Baked Brie

also from Thanksgiving(s)

Long awaited Pecan Pie

This shit is from Thanksgiving. Whoops?

Ive probably made over 200 pecan pies in my life- its kind of become a T-giving calling card/gift/dessert/sugarcoma inducer.

Fun Fact: A few years ago, I baked a friend a Pecan pie to pass of to her boyfriend's family as her own doing...

Makin Moves

I quickly realized this blog still sucks and you are probably tired of looking at the same stupid cupcake from day 1. I have been bitching and baking but not to you people because I quickly realized an unfortunate fact: blogging is fucking annoying.

By the time I am bored or 'boiling' enough about something to bake it off, I conceptualize a post and prepare a recipe's ingredients, stop to take photos along the way, then am too tired or over it to actually post it. This leads me to have a good amount of photos with no entries and baked goods go unphotographed all-together.

So heres a new change. I dont even know if it can be called a change since this blog doesnt really exist, but from now on Im going to do what I feel like doing and share what I care to share... It will probably be mostly pictures. If you dont like it, stop reading. I doubt anyone does read this though?

Perfect for me.

Cheese with Macaroni

This is not a bitching post. How can one bitch right before Thanksgiving? There are so many things to be thankful for: whole milk, butter, pasta and 1.5 pounds of cheese amongst them.

Make this recipe. Martha Stewart knows nothing about properly documenting her finances, but that woman knows heart-attack-foodbaby-starchcoma-worthy food.

I used Gruyere and sharp white cheddar and substituted panko for the bread/butter topping (seemed unnecessary- and I was out of bread)

Its all about two things: 1) good quality cheese. 2) patience- let the bechamel thicken!
The 'after' picture does not do it justice at all. It may actually be contradictory:

My only criticisms: I think it was possibly too cheesy but my dinner guests disagreed. I measured the cheese by weight vs cups, so maybe there was too much? I also wish I had let it brown more on top, but I was pressed for time.

This is not your everyday dinner menu item, but it is some serious comfort food. Make it. or come over and I'll make it for you.
